Updates on Voting and Elections Services Following Hurricane Helene

Our hearts go out to all those who have suffered difficulties or been displaced by Hurricane Helene. This page will serve as a resource to help voters who were impacted by the storm.

Our Offices

All five of our offices are fully operational with normal business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. We will be open until 6 PM on October 7th at all locations except the SouthShore Regional Service Center. October 7th is the deadline to register to vote for this election.

Voting Address

If you have been temporarily displaced by the hurricane, you do not need to update your residential address to vote. If you are receiving your mail at a different address, contact us at (813) 612-4180 so we can update your mailing address.

Three Options For Voting

Vote By Mail

We are mailing out our ballots, as scheduled, on Thursday, October 3rd. Voters can track their ballot to see when and where their ballot was mailed, and when the voted ballot has been received and counted.

If you are in an area that is currently not receiving mail delivery, the post office servicing your zip code will hold mail for residents to pick up. Please see the United States Post Office Service Alerts for further details, as some post office locations have changed.

If you don't receive a ballot that you requested or you are now in a different location, you may request another Vote By Mail ballot. Please call our office to make the request and ensure we have a good mailing address for you.

Another good option -- you may come in to any of our five offices and pick up a Vote By Mail ballot in person, or a designee can pick up a ballot for you. You can fill out your ballot and drop it in a Secure Ballot Intake Station at those offices, or take it home and return it later.

Call our office at (813) 612-4180 if you need help with your Vote By Mail request.

Early Voting

Voters in Hillsborough County can plan to vote during Early Voting at any of 27 locations, October 21 - November 3, 7 AM – 7 PM. We’ve been in contact with all of our locations and confirmed that all will be available. If you have been displaced from your neighborhood, this is a great option for you.

We will have Secure Ballot Intake Stations for Vote By Mail ballot drop off at each of these locations during Early Voting, as well.

Election Day

The majority of our Election Day polling places will be available on Election Day. We will send postcards out to notify voters of any changes to Election Day polling places, and post those changes on our website, as well.
