In a county of our size, running an election is no small task. We hire over 100 temporary employees to work with our permanent staff during elections cycles – for days, weeks and even months at a time. If you would like to support our elections as a temporary employee, please read through this section carefully.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must complete all required onboarding through a staffing agency, including but not limited to background and drug screening
- Must remain nonpartisan while representing the office of the Supervisor of Elections
- Must treat everyone with dignity and respect at all times
- Must be able to speak, read and write English effectively
- Must be able to work independently and with others
- Must be able to multitask between various job duties
- Must be able to lift 15 to 30 pounds
- May need to work extended hours, including weekends and overtime, when necessary
- May need to possess a valid and current FL Driver License with no more than seven points and complete an online defensive driving course.
